Description

The Legionella pneumophila real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides specific detection of Legionella pneumophila, the species responsible for the majority of Legionnaires’ disease cases, in water systems. The TaqMan-based assay targets a species-specific region for sensitive, rapid detection directly from extracted DNA, supporting water-safety risk assessment.

Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
