Description
The Clostridium estertheticum real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides specific detection of Clostridium estertheticum, the psychrophilic, spore-forming bacterium responsible for blown-pack spoilage of vacuum-packed and chilled meat, causing costly gas formation and off-odours. The TaqMan-based assay targets a conserved, species-specific region for sensitive detection directly from extracted nucleic acid.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
