Description
The Celery (Apium graveolens) real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides specific detection of celery DNA in food products. Celery is a regulated allergen that must be declared on food labels, and reliable detection of hidden or cross-contaminating celery supports allergen management and consumer safety. The TaqMan-based assay targets a celery-specific genomic sequence, giving sensitive detection even of trace amounts in complex and processed matrices.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of the target sequence.
Key features of the Celery (Apium graveolens) kit
- Real-time qPCR (TaqMan) detection of celery (A. graveolens) DNA
- Allergen-specific target with high sensitivity for trace material
- Robust detection in complex, processed and heat-treated foods
- Primer/probe mix and positive control template included
- Advanced format adds an internal extraction control and a quantification standard
- Compatible with standard real-time PCR instruments
It is ideally suited to allergen-labelling verification, cleaning-validation and food-safety quality control. Available in Standard (qualitative) and Advanced (quantitative) formats, with detailed set-up and result interpretation described in the included IFU/handbook.
