The Turkey (Meleagris gallopavo) real-time qPCR speciation kit from Primerdesign provides specific identification of turkey DNA in meat and processed food products. Accurate identification of turkey supports food-authenticity verification, label-claim compliance and detection of undeclared substitution in poultry products. The TaqMan-based assay targets a turkey-specific genomic sequence for robust detection even in processed and heat-treated samples.

Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of the target sequence.
