The Staphylococcus epidermidis real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides specific detection of Staphylococcus epidermidis, a coagulase-negative staphylococcus that is a common contaminant and useful hygiene-indicator organism in food production and environmental monitoring. The TaqMan-based assay targets a conserved, species-specific region for sensitive detection directly from extracted nucleic acid.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
