Description

The Escherichia coli (all strains) real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides broad detection of Escherichia coli as a key indicator of faecal contamination and hygiene status in food. By targeting a conserved region common to the species, the assay gives a sensitive, inclusive screen across pathogenic and commensal strains directly from extracted nucleic acid.

Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
