Description

The Escherichia coli real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides rapid and reliable detection of Escherichia coli, a key indicator of faecal contamination in fish, shellfish and their growing waters. Because E. coli levels underpin shellfish classification and seafood-hygiene controls, fast molecular detection supports compliance and consumer safety. The TaqMan-based assay targets a conserved, species-specific genomic region for confident detection directly from extracted nucleic acid.

Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
