Description

The Cryptosporidium real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides detection of Cryptosporidium, a chlorine-resistant protozoan parasite whose oocysts are a leading cause of waterborne outbreaks of cryptosporidiosis. The TaqMan-based assay targets a conserved region of the genus for sensitive detection of low oocyst numbers directly from extracted DNA, supporting water-safety surveillance.

Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
