Description
The Aeromonas sobria real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign enables fast and specific detection of Aeromonas sobria, a motile aeromonad associated with haemorrhagic septicaemia and ulcerative disease in farmed fish and shellfish and an opportunistic cause of gastroenteritis. The TaqMan-based assay targets a conserved, species-specific genomic region, allowing confident identification within the closely related motile Aeromonas group directly from extracted nucleic acid.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
Key features of the Aeromonas sobria kit
- Real-time qPCR (TaqMan) detection of Aeromonas sobria
- High specificity within the motile Aeromonas group
- Sensitive detection supporting early diagnosis and carrier screening
- Primer/probe mix and positive control template included
- Advanced format adds an internal extraction control and a quantification standard
- Compatible with standard real-time PCR instruments
It supports aquaculture diagnostics, fish- and shellfish-health monitoring and seafood-safety testing. Available in Standard (qualitative) and Advanced (quantitative) formats, with detailed set-up and result interpretation described in the included IFU/handbook.
