Description

The Salmon Gill Poxvirus (SGPV) real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides specific detection of salmon gill poxvirus, a DNA virus associated with salmon gill poxvirus disease, an acute gill condition that can cause sudden mortality in farmed Atlantic salmon. The TaqMan-based assay targets a conserved region of the viral DNA genome for sensitive detection directly from gill tissue.

Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform.
