Description
The Hop-resistant Lactobacillus and Pediococcus species real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides detection of hop-tolerant lactic-acid bacteria, the lactobacilli and pediococci most associated with spoilage in fermentation and beverage production through souring and turbidity. The TaqMan-based assay targets markers associated with these spoilage organisms for sensitive detection directly from extracted DNA, enabling early quality-control intervention.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of the target sequence.
Key features of the Hop-resistant Lactobacillus and Pediococcus species kit
- Real-time qPCR (TaqMan) detection of hop-resistant Lactobacillus and Pediococcus
- Targets the lactic-acid bacteria most relevant to beverage spoilage
- Sensitive early detection before sensory spoilage develops
- Primer/probe mix and positive control template included
- Advanced format adds an internal extraction control and a quantification standard
- Compatible with standard real-time PCR instruments
It is suited to fermentation, beverage and industrial quality control and process hygiene. Available in Standard (qualitative) and Advanced (quantitative) formats, with detailed set-up and result interpretation described in the included IFU/handbook.
