Description

The Nitrosomonas marina real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides specific detection of Nitrosomonas marina, an ammonia-oxidising bacterium central to nitrification in marine and saline systems. Monitoring nitrifier populations supports management of aquaculture biofilters, aquaria and saline wastewater, where stable nitrification controls toxic ammonia and nitrite. The TaqMan-based assay targets a species-specific region for sensitive detection directly from extracted DNA.

Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of the target sequence.
