Description

The Escherichia coli (all strains) real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides broad detection of Escherichia coli, the primary microbiological indicator of faecal contamination in drinking, recreational and process water. By targeting a conserved species region, the assay gives a sensitive, inclusive screen across strains directly from extracted DNA.

Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
