The Staphylococcus aureus real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides specific detection of Staphylococcus aureus, a common cause of staphylococcal food poisoning through heat-stable enterotoxins and an important hygiene-indicator organism. The TaqMan-based assay targets a conserved, species-specific genomic region for sensitive detection directly from extracted nucleic acid, supporting food-safety and hygiene monitoring.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
