Description
The Escherichia coli (Shiga toxin) real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides detection of Shiga-toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) by targeting the stx1 and stx2 toxin genes responsible for severe foodborne disease. Because Shiga-toxin genes define the hazard across multiple serotypes, this marker-based approach gives an inclusive, sensitive screen directly from extracted nucleic acid.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
