Description
The Peanut (Arachis hypogaea) real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides specific detection of peanut DNA in food products. As one of the most clinically significant food allergens, peanut must be declared and tightly controlled, making sensitive detection of hidden or cross-contaminating peanut essential for consumer safety. The TaqMan-based assay targets a peanut-specific genomic sequence, giving sensitive detection of trace amounts in complex and processed matrices.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of the target sequence.
Key features of the Peanut (Arachis hypogaea) kit
- Real-time qPCR (TaqMan) detection of peanut (A. hypogaea) DNA
- Allergen-specific target with high sensitivity for trace material
- Robust detection in complex, processed and heat-treated foods
- Primer/probe mix and positive control template included
- Advanced format adds an internal extraction control and a quantification standard
- Compatible with standard real-time PCR instruments
It is ideally suited to allergen-labelling verification, cleaning-validation and food-safety quality control. Available in Standard (qualitative) and Advanced (quantitative) formats, with detailed set-up and result interpretation described in the included IFU/handbook.
