Description
The Lymphocystivirus (LCV) real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign delivers specific detection of lymphocystivirus, an iridovirus (DNA virus) that causes lymphocystis disease, the benign but commercially damaging skin and fin lesions seen in many freshwater and marine fish. The TaqMan-based assay targets a conserved region of the viral DNA genome for confident detection directly from extracted nucleic acid.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
