The Zygosaccharomyces bailii real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides specific detection of Zygosaccharomyces bailii, a notoriously preservative-resistant spoilage yeast that causes refermentation, haze and gas formation in wine and other beverages even at low cell numbers. The TaqMan-based assay targets a species-specific genomic region for sensitive detection directly from extracted DNA, enabling early intervention against this resilient spoiler.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of the target sequence.
