The Universal Fish Detection real-time qPCR kit from Primerdesign provides broad detection of fish DNA across food and seafood products. As a universal screen, it confirms the presence of fish material and serves as a first-line control for verifying that test samples contain amplifiable fish DNA before species-specific testing. The TaqMan-based assay targets a conserved sequence shared across fish species for robust detection in processed matrices.

Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform.
