Description

The Legionella (all species) real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides broad detection of the genus Legionella, giving an inclusive first-line screen of water systems for these waterborne, aerosol-transmitted bacteria. By targeting a conserved genus region, the assay detects L. pneumophila and other Legionella species sensitively and rapidly, directly from extracted nucleic acid.

Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
