Description
The Giardia intestinalis (assemblages A-F) real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides broad detection of Giardia intestinalis (also known as G. lamblia/G. duodenalis), a protozoan parasite transmitted through contaminated food and water that causes giardiasis. The TaqMan-based assay targets a conserved region covering assemblages A-F, giving sensitive, inclusive detection of resistant cysts directly from extracted nucleic acid.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
