Description
The Enteroinvasive Escherichia coli (EIEC) real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides specific detection of EIEC, an invasive E. coli pathotype that causes dysentery-like foodborne illness. The TaqMan-based assay targets the invasion-associated markers characteristic of EIEC, enabling confident discrimination from other pathotypes and sensitive detection directly from extracted nucleic acid.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
Key features of the Enteroinvasive Escherichia coli (EIEC) kit
- Real-time qPCR (TaqMan) detection of EIEC virulence markers
- Specific to the enteroinvasive pathotype
- Sensitive detection supporting food-safety control
- Primer/probe mix and positive control template included
- Advanced format adds an internal extraction control and a quantification standard
- Compatible with standard real-time PCR instruments
It is ideally suited to food-safety testing, outbreak investigation and quality control. Available in Standard (qualitative) and Advanced (quantitative) formats, with detailed set-up and result interpretation described in the included IFU/handbook.
