Description
The Babesia divergens real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides specific detection of Babesia divergens, a tick-borne apicomplexan parasite that causes bovine babesiosis (redwater fever) in cattle and is a zoonotic agent of human babesiosis. The TaqMan-based assay targets a conserved, species-specific region for sensitive detection directly from extracted nucleic acid.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
Key features of the Babesia divergens kit
- Real-time qPCR (TaqMan) detection of Babesia divergens
- Species-specific target with high analytical specificity
- Sensitive detection in blood and tissue samples
- Primer/probe mix and positive control template included
- Advanced format adds an internal extraction control and a quantification standard
- Compatible with standard real-time PCR instruments
It is suited to veterinary diagnostics, zoonosis surveillance and research applications. Available in Standard (qualitative) and Advanced (quantitative) formats, with detailed set-up and result interpretation described in the included IFU/handbook.
