Description

The Bacteria Domain real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides universal detection of bacterial DNA by targeting a conserved region of the 16S rRNA gene shared across the domain Bacteria. It gives a broad screen for total bacterial presence and serves as a valuable control for confirming bacterial load or contamination in samples and processes. The TaqMan-based assay detects bacteria sensitively and inclusively directly from extracted DNA.

Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of the target sequence.
