Description
The Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides specific detection of Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis, the bacterium that causes bacterial canker of tomato, a serious, seed-borne and quarantine-relevant disease. The TaqMan-based assay targets a subspecies-specific region for sensitive detection directly from seed and plant tissue, supporting clean-seed programmes and disease management.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of the target sequence.
Key features of the Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis kit
- Real-time qPCR (TaqMan) detection of C. michiganensis subsp. michiganensis
- Subspecies-specific target with high specificity
- Sensitive detection supporting seed-health testing
- Primer/probe mix and positive control template included
- Advanced format adds an internal extraction control and a quantification standard
- Compatible with standard real-time PCR instruments
It is ideally suited to tomato seed-health testing, plant-pathology diagnostics and quarantine screening. Available in Standard (qualitative) and Advanced (quantitative) formats, with detailed set-up and result interpretation described in the included IFU/handbook.
