Description
The Clostridium botulinum (toxin D) real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides specific detection of type D botulinum neurotoxin-producing Clostridium botulinum, the type most associated with animal botulism and a concern for water and environmental safety. The TaqMan-based assay targets the type D toxin gene for sensitive, specific detection directly from extracted DNA.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
