Description
The Epizootic Haematopoietic Necrosis Virus (EHNV) real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides specific detection of EHNV, a ranavirus (family Iridoviridae) and notifiable pathogen that causes systemic necrosis and high mortality in redfin perch and rainbow trout. The TaqMan-based assay targets a conserved region of the double-stranded DNA genome, enabling confident detection and surveillance directly from extracted nucleic acid.
Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
