Norovirus (GI & GII)

Description

The Norovirus (GI & GII) real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides sensitive detection of norovirus genogroups I and II, the leading cause of foodborne viral gastroenteritis associated with shellfish, produce and ready-to-eat foods. The assay uses one-step RT real-time PCR to detect conserved regions of both genogroups from extracted RNA, supporting reliable food-safety monitoring.

Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix with a positive control template and is run as a one-step RT-qPCR, providing a complete workflow from extracted RNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of viral load.
