Description

The Naegleria (all species) real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides broad, genus-level detection of Naegleria, free-living amoebae found in warm freshwater and water-distribution systems, of which N. fowleri is the agent of fatal primary amoebic meningoencephalitis. By targeting a conserved genus region, the assay gives an inclusive first-line screen directly from extracted nucleic acid.

Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
