Description

The Bacillus cereus real-time qPCR detection kit from Primerdesign provides fast, specific detection of Bacillus cereus, a spore-forming bacterium that causes emetic and diarrhoeal foodborne illness and is a common contaminant of rice, dairy and prepared foods. The TaqMan-based assay targets a conserved, species-specific genomic region, enabling confident detection directly from extracted nucleic acid to support food-safety control.

Each kit supplies a ready-to-use primer and probe mix together with a positive control template, providing a complete workflow from extracted DNA on any standard real-time PCR platform. The Advanced format additionally includes an internal extraction control to flag inhibition and a copy-number standard curve for absolute quantification of pathogen load.
